Jimez Ashby Jr., originally from St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, is an Organizational Psychology & Diversity Practitioner, with a little over 6 years of highly progressive hands-on experience. His experience spans from Human Resources and Diversity Recruitment & Strategy to Talent Optimization, Strategy & Execution and Workforce Strategy & Planning. A first-generation college student, he completed his undergraduate studies in Experiential Learning & Organizational Development from George Mason University in 2017 and in 2018 started a boutique consulting firm: DiversifyEd Consulting, LLC.
Jimez's focus and passion for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion coupled with his educational background, allows him to bring a revolutionary perspective to the work he does. With a very unique background and skillset, Jimez has worked in the private, federal and nonprofit sectors.
It was during his undergraduate years at George Mason University, Jimez identified and developed his passion and started his work as a Student Support & Diversity Coordinator for the University Life Sector. Still remembering why he fell in love with this work, Jimez continues to also serve as a Higher-Ed & Student Advocate, where he spends his time working with institutions on how to better support and develop their students. Much of the work he does, can easily be transformed into helping students within their collegiate years be the change and solution.
